The Client:

Lanchester cafe, Kaffeehaus Amadeus, have a well-deserved reputation for serving the best coffee in the North-East, so it was a logical decision for them to grow their business by selling their artisan coffee online.

The Brief

Their new business venture Durham Coffee, needed a responsive e-commerce website which showcased their products, explained their ethos and made online purchasing and postage options straightforward.

Our Solution: E-commerce Website Design & Build

We designed and built a bespoke, responsive e-commerce website using a clean modern layout which showcased Durham Coffee’s distinct brand identity.

A robust e-commerce solution allows for multiple product variations and automated delivery options, while an encrypted online payment system and SSL certification across the website keeps customer details safe and secure. The ecommerce solution we selected also enables Durham Coffee to set stock levels, monitor sales and download reports from within the admin area of their website.

The addition of a modular drag-and-drop page builder means that changes to the website such as adding products or altering prices can be easily managed in-house.  Template pages and a series of bespoke “How To’ documentation were also provided to allow the Durham Coffee team to manage the website on a day-to-day basis.

Finally, we optimised the whole website for Search Engines, ensured that all images used were formatted for the web, added a cookie consent bar linked to an up-to-date GDPR policy and integrated the website with Durham Coffee’s social media accounts; including adding their Instagram image-stream to the footer. As a final touch we linked an automated newsletter email sign-up form to Durham Coffee’s existing mailchimp account and incentivised sign-ups by offering  new sign-ups a 10% discount on their first order.
